So this week I learned that I have the mandate of Seto freakin' Kaiba: one because I'm suprisingly ok at playing his flagship deck, and also because I ran into a surprisingly few Starslop players during my climb (I lost to pretty much all of them but that's a whole other beast we're all probably well-aware and sick of at this point). I don't have Synchro Rumble or Shenshen so I'm not able to do the whole synchro floodgate endboard thing, but honestly thank Ra for that because I actually prefer the control-focused playstyle this list/skill enables. I got an 8 win streak in Legend 4-5 which is pretty neat -- I was intrigued to learn that I have a suprisingly adept matchup against Destiny HERO, but I guess it makes sense because, to quote the rich boy himself, "F--K DESTINY, I'M SETO KAIBA!"

For the record, I didn't even want to play Blue-Eyes as part of my year focusing on Ritual decks because Chaos Dragon isn't really the focus of this strategy, but desperate times call for desperate measures and this is the most competent deck I have at the moment that's capable of performing a Ritual summon. I've complained about this everywhere far and wide but it has been SEVEN MONTHS since a single new Ritual monster has been brought to Duel Links and if there isn't any new Ritual support in the next main box I am going to crash out so hard!!

I have no idea what Ritual deck I can use next month if we get no new support again. I tried a few Mikanko lists last weekend and they were all just SO BAD! Vendread Orcust is also an option which is fine(?) but not unless the new banlist does anything substantial. I don't want to use Dark Magician since you're not supposed to actually summon their Ritual monster so I don't think it counts. Idk girl, I picked the worst year ever for this challenge -- if anyone has any suggestions on Ritual-focused lists or strats to try with the cards we currently have, I'm open to anything at this point lol.
