Notes & Combos

July 18, 2026 - The date I managed to Climb King of Games!

Hi Everyone, ANOTHER KING OF GAMES WITH D/D/DECK!!! I'm very happy!!!

Comments on decklist:

1. Otk:

  • Laplace: It’s still just as good as it was in recent seasons! For nearly a year now, I’ve been relying on it as my primary OTK strategy when going second, especially against Stardust decks, since it can attack Quasar Dragon with 8,000 ATK and piercing damage, which is lethal against them.

  • Caesar Ragnarok: When powered up alongside Beowulf, it can win games. The fact that it equips an opponent's monster without targeting makes this card better than I remembered. It's a shame we can't access it via Swirl Slime or Necro Slime, but in the future, we'll be able to bring it out using Sage king Alfred.

  • Beowulf: I started using it to boost the Caesar Ragnarok OTK! I had forgotten how amazing its effect is letting our D/D/D deal piercing damage. Good card.

2. Extra deck:

  • Machinex: One copy is more than enough, but if games drag on longer than they should, you'll probably want an extra copy of Machinex in your Extra Deck! I opt for a single copy so I can run Typhon, Beowulf, or Caesar Ragnarok instead of a second Machinex.

3. Main deck:

  • 3x Gryphon/3x coopernicus/ 2/3x orthos: Gryphon is the only one I'd run 3 copies of if our skill didn't require revealing a "Reveal Level 4 D/D Pendulum." Even with that absurd number of Level 4 Pendulums plus 2 copies of Gate, there were still games where I simply didn't open with a single copy of the Level 4 Pendulums LMAOOOO.

  • Droll/D.D crow: If the Vaalmonica deck doesn't have "Dimensional Fissure" we can skip their turn. Against Stardust even before the banlist Droll stops them from making the play where they draw an excessive number of cards from their own deck! D.D. Crow is still good this season.

  • Droplet/dark rule no more: Dark Ruler can be good for dealing with the end boards of countless decks; I like it. However, Droplet (even in a Pendulum deck) still seems stronger to me than Dark Ruler itself! I don't like the idea of giving my opponent another turn. Plus, it's the only way to deal with Satellite Warrior or Black Rose followed by Droplet! If we discard a Spell, the Stardust player can't chain their own Droplet to ours.

Please Konami, D/D/D I need buff in skill... set trap FROM the Deck OR hand. I'm still holding out hope for a possible fix to the second part of the skill...
