Notes & Combos
Hello everyone. It's me, Crimson Reaper 5, the only well-known Altergeist content creator, streamer, and YouTuber back with another decklist upload, but this time for Rush Duels??? I'm just kidding. I will be real with you guys, I barely play Rush Duel at all. It's not that I don't like Rush Duels, it's more-so that I simply do not have the time to balance Speed and Rush on my platter in between real life activities and Speed Duels. So in retrospect, all I wanted out of this Rush WCS was to max out stage one and call it there, really. I'd much rather be providing the best Altergeist content for you guys instead of trying to gamble with Rush Duel RNG.
Anyways, onto the deck write-up. This is just standard Aqua Actress beatdown, nothing special. I am playing a slightly unoptimized build since I do not have Mimi maxed out yet and thus lack more copies of Hydration. This did lead to me getting sacked to random backrow like Widespread Ruin and Trap Hole, so keep that in mind. In addition, this deck has a major problem breaking through overly defensive boards. Abyss Soldier and Curse of the Rising Light are crucial in that regard to help you punch for some damage.
I also want to point out that this deck is a bit slow, but once it gets going, it's borderline unstoppable. I don't think any deck is punching through your big Dian Keto beaters and your 8,000 plus lifepoints. The survivability of this deck is nuts if it gets going. However, this deck isn't perfect. Dark Magician can easily boost up to dangerously high attack power, which can result in you getting omega sacked. DARK Galaxy can hard sack you as well if they drew into everything.
That just about covers everything. There's just something oddly satisfying about having 8,000 lifepoints and making it hard for your opponent to lethal you. This deck did go through some changes, but I think this version is perfect for maxing. I was on Kingdom of Bubbles and Embracing the Rain at first, but I kept getting sacked, so I added in more defensive backrow like Trap Hole, Nobody Phantom Thief, and Shiny Shady. Kingdom of Bubbles was good in theory so your Dian Keto the Cure Prodigy isn't dead, but in execution, it wasn't worth it. Rainapolis is just too good. Embracing the Rain was just a replacement since I don't own more than one Hydration. Feel free to cut Shiny Shady for Hydration since it didn't come up once. This deck discards a ton so Shiny Shady is hard to resolve. Overall, a fun climb! I enjoyed it.
Replays
I won't be making a YouTube video on this since it's Rush Duel, but don't fret. I'll provide my WCS MAX rankup here, which was against Gradius. This replay should show you firsthand how hard Aqua Actress can sack wins if you opened well. Otherwise, it's just standard beatdown.
This will most likely be my only Rush Duel upload. Now I will swap back to my precious Altergeists, the deck that everyone knows me for.
